When Sahsha gets scared; she hides under the table.
She's so cute!!!!
Since we haven't taken her outside in a long time with the rain and everything she was quite agitated yesterday.
She tee teed on the floor, I spanked her and sent her to the kitchen locked up. Then I guess she was trying to sleep and I was petting her and she nipped me. Spanked her again, in the kitchen again. She had such a bad weekend. Always getting into trouble.. poor little baby. I took her to play and run at the school and she was sooo damn happy! She didn't know what to do with herself!!! She ran and ran and couldn't stop! So funny.l I brought her back home and she was passed out on the floor within 5 minutes.
That's all she needed.. was to use up all her pent up energy; She just wasn't jiggy with sitting on the bed watching a movie with her momma.
Sahsha is where our little family started.
She's our sweet shih-tzu mix.
This chronicles her life and adventures.
Hope you enjoy.

Time for Kennel Training
Sahsha SAHSHA SahSHA!
My goodness girl!
Do you know what she's been doing?! We leave the pantry door open a tad and Sahsha gets into some MESS! First thing that Steve was telling me was he stopped home one day and had the Cracker Barrell paper bag handles over her head! I wished I had been there! Total picture moment!
So yesterday, I came home and there was torn up little bits of paper towels ALL OVER THE PLACE! It looked like a hurricane came through!!! Oh my goodness!! AND CHECK THIS OUT! This isn't the first time it's happened. Steve has been cleaning up all her mess before I get home and covers it up because he's scared of whatever crazy tactic I'll come up with!!
LOL!
Oh my goodness!
The first thing I thought was she just needs to be kennel trained and when we're gone, she she'll be in the kennel and just deal with it.
But Steve feels this is cruel and unusual punishment.
We'll see.. It won't be so bad.

Sahsha goes the Jazz Concert
I took Sahsha to the free Jazz Concert at Market Street.
I met up with Kristen and we had so much fun. Sahsha was just everywhere! Running up to everyone playing with everything. The loud drums scared her though.
It takes so much coordination to watch her, keep her out of trouble, feed her, make sure she went potty... My goodness! I have to have like another pair of arms and eyes in the back of my head to keep up with her! How do people with children do it!! WOW!
She was just a handful. She is finally is big enough with fit into the spiked red leather collar and the police officers kept calling her a "killa beast"! It was hilarious!!! She's so cute! Why didn't I bring my camera! I'm so crazy.
Carrying her in her little purse on my bad shoulder was a TERRIBLE idea! My shoulder has started to hurt again. I had to drive with one hand! I have a torn up rotator cuff from a slip on a patch of ice 6 years ago in Virginia. I'm probably gonna have to start physical therapy again. Ugh!! I should have known better.
She got a little nippy and after 2 hours; She must have been really hungry or super tired. I didn't really feed her much before I left. I took her home and she just chowed down like she hadn't eaten in DAYS! Poor baby! It was an excellent opportunity to give her Frontline Heartworm thing though. At that point she would eat anything!!!!
She was so TIRED though. She just plopped in her little kennel and was out!
Next time I need to bring her food so she can keep up with all of us.

Sahsha and her gumballs!
Sahsha was cooped up most of the day since we had small group last night; We came home and I took her to the high school to run around crazy and use up her energy well. Then we went home and I didn't realize she had one of those sticky balls in her mouth. It might have some type of sugary syrupy stuff on it so when she got home she just went absolutely wild and CRAZY!! WILD! I never seen anything run so fast in my life! She's hilarious! She was not pleased when we put her in the kitchen and gated her up.. Whining.. poor little baby. This morning I worked with her and tried to teach her "lay down".. She is so HARDHEADED! She'll get tired on me and then finally plop down and I'll give her a treat and say, "good lay down" but I'm not sure it's sticking.

Vet - 2nd round of shots
Sahsha got her 2nd round of shots yesterday.
I think she remembered what was coming so she growled at the vet and she tried to bite the technician! I haven't seen that aggressive behavior in her in a LONG time! The vet told us we really need to be more in control of her and some training methods we need to do with her for a little while. And.. since she has SO many toys, she thinks everything on the floor is a plaything... hence why she eats shoes, paper, anything laying on the floor.
So we have to work on that.
Phew! I'm glad we get to start working on her behavior and discipline her a lot more! Steve is always on my butt about "letting her be a puppy". Now he sees why I was so hard on her in the beginning and why I didn't like her playing, growling aggressively at the toys. Maybe now he'll support me when I discipline her; It'll be a little bit harder now since she's so used to having her own way and doing her own thing;
She came home from the vet and she seemed fine and then Steve took her out for a walk and she came home crying in pain! It's the most horrible sound EVER! She didn't want to be picked up... her hind legs must be very tender. I knew she was tired and needed sleep; I wanted to put her in the bathroom and shut the lights and the door to leave her in peace but Steve wanted her with us so after a about 15 minutes Steve realized how badly she needed rest so we put her in the bathroom.
Then I had separation anxiety and couldn't stand not being able to see her so I went in to check on her;
We moved her to the kitchen were she could eat if she wanted and had a place to relieve herself; I stayed with her for awhile until she fell asleep.
Poor little baby.
She woke up this morning ready to go out and tee-tee and poopies. She did fine... I was stern and had to tell her a couple times not to jump or run. I knew that would aggravate her the areas she got shot in.
Steve said she was doing fine this morning when he put her up.
She is now 8.2 lbs!
WOW!
Heartbeat is 150 bpms
Just an overall healthy girl!

Concert in the Park
Sahsha and I went to see the Concert in the Park with Kristen and her boys and we had a BLAST!
It was so fun and relaxing!
Sahsha had been cooped up most of the time since Steve and I had lots of running around to do.
Sahsha had a wonderful time of course and made lots of friends!
She's still scared of the other puppies though. Maybe next weekend when we go she'll do better.

Weekend - just the girls!
My little baby has gotten so big.
Last Sunday, June 4th, she turned three months old. My goodness... where does the time go?
Wow.
Sahsha and I had a lovely weekend together just us girls. Her Daddy went tubing at San Marcos for the weekend with his friends. We walked, we played, we sat and watched TV and everything.
I had to leave her alone a couple times but she seemed ok.
I took her over to Kristen's place and her and Bella played well together but I accidently let Bella out so we had to go find her. Kristen's neighbor was there so she took her puppies out too. She had two Jack Russel Terriers and they were VICIOUS! My goodness. Just as bad as those pomperanians I see at the park. Oh! Poor Sahsha. I had to pick her up most of the time. Then once we found Bella I let Sahsha down just to see what she'd do and she went after those little pit bull wannabees!! I was so surprised. So proud of her for not letting them nasty dogs scare her.
Steve and I were watching Mr & Mrs Smith and Sahsha was sitting next to me trying to go to sleep. That movie is way too loud so of course she couldn't sleep and Steve wouldn't let me lock her up in the bathroom where it was quiet because then she wouldn't sleep all night.
Then later she was holding her head up and it was like she was a bobble head doll and Steve started making fun of her and I laughed so HARD tears were coming out of my eyes!!
Oh my goodness!!
Steve is so hilarious sometimes.
The poor baby was so tired she couldn't hold her head up. I finally just put her in the bathroom and cut the lights and put her in her head so she could get some peace.
Goodness!
This morning I took her out and she did potty. It took her way too long to do number 2 because by the time I got out of the shower, I only had 5 minutes to get ready!
Either I start doing my hair at night or wake up earlier to take her out. She might enjoy a nice walk in the mornings.

Sahsha can come with me everywhere now!
I went to Walmart last night and saw the CUTEST pet carriers!
I got a maroon colored one and it says, HAUTE DOG. So FUNNY. It even has a purse charm that says that. So funny.
Now Sahsha goes EVERYWHERE with me... yippee!!!
I can't wait to take her out in it to see what she'll do.
