My little house is a collapsible one, kinda like a pop up hamper. Yesterday Mummy came home and was not pleased at all that I jumped on it and collapsed it. She didn’t pop it open for me again. She was even more upset that I got into the kitchen towel Trudie got for us and ate a hole in it. She said, “How you make your bed, is how you’re gonna lie in it.” I didn’t even get the peanut butter on the bone treat this morning.

:: sigh::

I think I’m supposed to be learning something… just don’t know what yet.

New Friends

I made a new friend. On Saturday morning, a little kitty cat came to our patio and camped out for awhile avoiding the rain. She had pretty red rhine stone collar but no tag with contact information. Mummy put out a little blanket for her and some food and I was not pleased. Eventually I learned she was a friend and we played and played and played. Then the kitty went away. Must have went back home. I miss my little friend very much. Then yesterday, I learned to play with Boomer! It was great! Mummy and Daddy were very proud of me! It was great. Boomer’s still a puppy, but no match for me!!! I can still outrun him any ole day! He chased me in a circle and I faked left, then I faked right and took off.

My Name is Sahsha and I'm a ...

My name is Sahsha and I am a sock-o-holic. I just can’t stop. Everytime I see a sock on the floor I must get to it. It’s like it’s taunting me, calling out to me. Once I start chewing it, I can’t stop. It’s my comfort. It’s my joy. I go through the laundry pile looking for them. I sit and wait on the bathroom floor for Daddy or Mummy to toss them and then without them seeing me, I run off to my secret hiding place with them.

Please don't lecture, moralize, scold, praise, blame, or argue when I'm intoxicated in another sock chewing binge.

Don't lose your temper with me please. I’m just a little baby.

Above all don't run away from reality as I do. Sock-o-holism is my illness and gets worse as my pursuit of socks continues. Start now to learn, to understand, to plan for recovery. This has been a public service announcement.

BHG PROMO

We interrupt your regularly scheduled Adventures to bring you this important update:
Sahsha's Mummy, (that's me) has entered her in the IAMS' Dog Extraordinaire contest! You have to write about why your doggy is extraordinary. I entered and rambled and rambled on and on about my sweet little baby. Sahsha is extraordinary because she's turned my bitter, discouraged, hard heart into one that's sweet and loving and now tries to see the good in everyone; For that I am ever so grateful. I hope she wins! If she does, she'll be featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine! Isn't that wild!!! Oh! That would be the best! Oh and the grand prize winner also get like $800.00 in dog food and toys. Sahsha will be in heaven if she gets any more toys! We'll have to give her her own room if she gets any more toys!! Goodness!
We now return to your regularly scheduled programming already in progress...

Sickey poo

I've been weezing and sickey poo for a couple days; The icy weather has not helped much BUT Daddy lets me sleep in the bed with him and Mummy. Mummy is always getting on me about her precious comforter. She only wants me on the sheets. Hope I stay sickey-poo for awhile. I love sleeping in Mummy and Daddy's bed.

Sunday Adventure!

Daddy took me on a long walk today!
We walked and walked and sometimes we would run and run.
We ran over the crosswalk and walked over to the pond. We then ran back over the crosswalk. There were all these people on all these bicycles all over the place. Daddy would have to keep me close when he saw one of these bikers coming
We went to the park and there were kids and people everywhere. A couple of the kids came over and petted on me.
We walked and then ran through one of the trails behind the park.
We finally got home and I was so tired. Me and daddy came in to see mommy, but she was taking a nappy poo.
I think daddy is going to give me a bath tonight. I hope he does, because I am stinky poo and I secretly love my baths.

Woe to me!

OH! What a terrible terrible weekend I had!!!! It was so horrible! I got into so much trouble, with Mummy especially. The fireworks scared me and everytime I went out I couldn’t go poopies !! So… I poopied in the house last night. After Mummy yelled for a bit, I laid on her lap and looked dejected and she felt sorry for me. She even let me sleep in my crate without the door closed. Of course, I got up in the morning and decided I couldn’t wait anymore so I peed in front of her bathroom on the rug and pooppied in the living room. Needless to say, I’ve lost all my open crate privileges! Mummy even said she won’t let me sleep in the bedroom with them anymore and I’m now banished to the kitchen. What to do! What to do! Woe to me Woe to me!

Didn't go to Daddy's Softball game last night

Mummy took me out for a walk yesterday.. Finally.. no more rain! I had so much fun on my walk. So many things I can put in my mouth and run away with. Hehehe. Daddy had a softball game at 9:30 but Mummy and I didn’t go. She wanted to get to bed early; What’s so great about this sleep thing? Umpth! I wished I had went to the softball park to play with everyone. Mummy so disciplined. Can’t she ever just relax? Goodness! Daddy tries so hard to get her to lighten up. Before Daddy went to his game he warmed up and took me out for a run. It was so fun!!! I have to actually work at keeping up with Daddy now! Before I would outrun him and drag him along with my leash! He’s still no match for me though! When Daddy came home he found me chewing on incense sticks. He was not happy with me at all. I thought they were strange flavored chewy sticks. I didn’t know. And there were these incense cones in a little jar and I thought they were treats. Hope he doesn’t find that I was munching on those either.

Rain rain rain

Rain rain rain.. always rain these days. I can’t go out for my walk. I can’t stay out long for my poopies or peeppies. Umpth! I wish this rain rain would just go away. Last night Mummy and Daddy watched a movie called The Sweetest Thing. They laughed and laughed and laughed. I think this is the first time Daddy enjoyed a movie that Mummy liked. Mummy played with me with the sheets. She would hide me in the sheets and play peekaboo. I like that game. Daddy told her not to play that game with me because I started to gnaw on the sheets and think they’re toys now. They’re gonna get a new sheet set for Christmas anyways.. so what’s the big deal? Daddy’s such a tightwad!

My adventures last night

Hey Everyone!
I’m so happy Mummy let’s me post my own adventures now! Yesterday Daddy went to play softball with another league. Chris invited him. Chris is the daddy of Jackson and Cody.
They’re pretty cool dogs. They help me out when another dog is getting on my case. I never know what to do so I just lay there annoyed and Jackson comes and barks at them to save me. Mummy belongs to this Freecycle Yahoo Group

and I didn’t know who was at the back door getting stuff. I didn’t know what to do so I just barked up a storm. Oh! At the softball game Daddy did really good. Wasn’t very interested in it though. I played and played with this little boy and then Mummy put me on my leash and let him draggggg me all around. I was NOT happy. Mummy came to save me and I met some new friends. I came home soooo tired! Then I got another burst of energy and started to run around in circles. Mummy played with me and she’s gets too rough sometimes but I like it anyways. I accidently nip her hand sometimes and she stops playing for about 3 minutes and then starts up again.
Mummy tries so hard to teach me to ring some stupid bell on the door when I need to go potty. Why do I need to ring the bell when I just jump up on them and they immediately take me out??
I was desperate this morning. Mummy took too long to get ready and then I went out and it was sooo cold out and when I didn’t potty in 5 minutes Mummy brought me back in so I teed on the carpet. What else can I do? I gotta find my special spot. I am going to train Mummy to be patient with me and that’s that!

Did you know I’m 9 months old now?

Did you know I’m 9 months old now? I’m getting so old.
Mummy is so overprotective and thought I needed to go to the doctor when I was just laying down for most of the. Sometimes I just don’t feel like playing! What is up with her! She’ll just never understand me! Urgh! My daddy is so cool. I can always escape from anything on his lap. Mum and Dad put the Christmas tree up and it looks kinda scary to me. I try and stay away from it as much as possible. They have rearranged the living room too so now I have more and more room to run. It’s FUN!
Mummy and Daddy FINALLY let me back on the bed with them to sleep. My little house is great and all.. but Mummy & Daddy’s bed is so warm and cuddly. I never get any sleep though with their tossing and turning but that’s okay, I sleep all day long when they go to work and can’t wait for them to come home.
Savannah is my best friend. I don’t like Cody too much when he barks. What’s Amadeus’ problem? He’s like a hyper coyote. Jackson is always playing with me but I get bored with him. He’s too big and I can outrun him any day.

Mummy’s took me to Daddy’s softball game last week and it was SOooooo COLD! I shivered and shivered and sat under the covers in mommy’s lap most of the time. One of the kids played and chased me for awhile but the grass was wet and cold and I just shivered and shivered some more. Thank goodness Mummy brought me back to the truck! It was so warm and cozy in there.

I went to Natchez, MS for Thanksgiving! The last time I went there I was like 8 weeks old! It was so fun. I went in the house and immediately recognized the smells and got so excited!!! But all Mummy and Daddy wanted to do was sleep! Whats so great about sleep?! The next day I had the time of my life in their 1-2 acre yard. I ran and ran and ran. So many different smells there. So much fresher cleaner air. Mummy found me a big beach ball in the storage shed and I played and played and played with that till I got so tired. Mummy got really really sick the next day and stayed in bed the whole day; Daddy would put me in her room to keep her company and after a while she’d need something and send me to get Daddy but Daddy would just take me outside. Doesn’t he speak puppy talk! Goodness. Finally he would go check on Mummy and bring her something to drink or eat. Then the next day Daddy wasn’t feeling well and I stayed with him on the couch all day. Poor Daddy. Then it was time to go home. I never stayed in the backseat. I only want to be where Mummy and Daddy are so I always find my way to the front seat. Mummy put my leash on tied me up in the back. After a couple hours she felt sorry for me and let me come up to the front. Daddy doesn’t like me chained up at all. I love my Daddy.

My Little Sahsha is just a joy.
In the mornings when I want to lure her in her kennel, I grab her nylabone, put some peanut butter on it and just let her lick it once or twice and then put it in her kennel and all the while, she’s just following me and goes right in the kennel. We gate up the kitchen and we’re off without a whimper or a cry. She falls for it EVERY time.

Every day when I get home from work, I take her on a nice 45 minute walk through the neighborhood. We pick up the mail, chat with some friends and she just doesn’t walk, she doesn’t run, she frolicks up ahead of me with her head going side to side like she’s in tune with a song. It’s hilarious.
On the way back to the house, I get a quick run in and you should see her! She’s so competitive! She’s so determined to beat me that I just have to stop and laugh most of the time.

Every Saturday morning, we go out for maybe one hour or two to the park. The last time I put her in the baby swing and she was just as content as she could be! It was hilarious!!
Probably because she’s too tired to fight being put in there from her walk and playing chase with all the kids at the park. All the kids LOVE chasing her. She loves to be chased. They can never catch her though.. no matter how fast she is.
Then it comes the time for us to go home and I try and get her to come to me.. and I have no treats! ::AGHAST!!!::: Lord have mercy. I have to trick her and then grab her and leash her up.
Why don’t I ever remember to bring treats! I am sooo silly!!!

Last night Sahsha went to a barbeque at Linda’s house. Goodness! Linda didn’t have anything prepared and her sister was running around crazy trying to make and grill up everything.
Sahsha was just not happy with Linda’s Red Heeler though! Hilarious.
The Blue Heeler couldn’t get enough of her and Sahsha just can’t defend herself against such a big dog. Linda whips the poor thing! And after three traumatic episodes for Sahsha, I just brough her back inside. All he was doing was smelling her but Sahsha was not having it. She gets along very well with the big dogs in our neighborhood, but those dogs are way better trained. Bummer.
Sahsha will probably not make an appearance at Linda’s house again.
LOL!

A new ball for Sahsha

Everytime I go through those sideshow pictures I get to tickled and remember how wonderful it was and how special those tender moments were; I have videotape of her and everything. She's such a joy to have!! She reall is. I bought her this little beach ball and she just has a blast with it. I can't wait to video her playing with it. When we go out together, she barks at strangers. I think she thinks she's protecting me. She thinks I'm the child and she's the momma! LOL! The vet mentioned that we shouldn't be taking her out and meeting other dogs until she's had ALL her shots. Bummer.. no doggie park for Sahsha beans for a couple weeks.
>:-(

I read somewhere on the internet that if you have a bell on the door, the dog will associate that noise with going potty and eventually when they need to go out they'll ring the bell.
Okay.. I couldn't find a bell, so I had this little wind chime that I attached to the door where Sahsha could reach it.. and we had been working randomly for three days on it... and last night.. I was ironing, Steve was watching TV and all of a sudden I heard the little chimes and SAHSHA WAS AT THE DOOR!!! She needed to go out!!! I got all excited and said, "THE BABY NEEDS TO GO OUT!!!!"

Sahsha and I ran outside and she tee-teed and I gave her a treat. It's was like 3 minutes total! So AWESOME!! Steve was completely amazed!!! So daggone smart our little Sahsha beans is!!!
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!

~~~
Oh, her hair is growing back around her nose... getting to look more and more like a snauzer.
Hmmm...
