Peanut Butter Toes

Hi Everyone! It's Sahsha reporting from the depts of neglect. That baby thing is always so happy to see me. It's developed a curious new motion. It can move with its hands and knees. It tries to catch me but I'm too fast. Mummy put peanut butter on its toes the other day and tried to get me to like it. I was strong for a long time, I didn't let the temptation of the PB get me... but then... the smell.. ahh.. it was overpowering.. I got every last drop of PB and cleaned those feet good. The baby thing doesn't smell so bad. It's kinda cute when it laughs.

My life since the baby

Hey Everyone.. Sahsha here giving you the update from the Pendergrast Manor. Mummy brought home a baby.
....no more sleeping, no more walks, and no more playtime for me. I escape during the day to the guest bedroom and bark at the outside noise.
The baby, they call it Drew. They get amazed at anything he does. Anything he can do, I can do better. Mummy sometimes lets me out in the backyard and forgets about me for hours. I don't mind except when it gets really cold.
I got a spa day treatment for my birthday this month. At least they remembered my birthday. I hope this fascination with the baby doesn't last long. I wonder when everything will get back to normal.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey Everyone! This is Sahsha, and I just wanted to tell everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR from the Pendergrast Manor!

I would post pictures, but Mummy went into a cleaning frenzy and burned ALL the years pictures onto a CD and deleted them off the computer.

The fireworks freaked me out for a couple days and I'm glad they are over now.

Mummy was obsessed with "Glee" for a couple weeks and watched last season on the computer and played a couple songs over and over again and danced around the kitchen while me and Daddy just looked at each other. She's already told us 7 times that she wants the first season on DVD for her birthday.. 7 times... I hope Daddy remembers. He didn't write it down on his post-it note that will eventually get lost..

See? What did I tell you? Mummy's little bowl of cards didn't last long at ALL!

Weekend at Mimi's

Hey everyone! Sahsha here giving you an update from the Pendergrast Manor. Mummy and Daddy took me to Mississippi this past weekend to see Mimi and Pop-pop.
Highlights from the trip:
• I ate a sugar coated donut dropped by one of the twins. YUMMM!!
• The other twin fed me from his plate secretly until Mummy caught him!
• I sat on someone’s lap who came over to see Aunt Stacey.
• I helped Mummy play Yahtzee.
• I ate a bowl of Cheerios left on the kitchen table.
• Mummy locked me up in a room and forgot all about me after an unfortunate salt incident.
• Mummy left me outside to fend for myself against the evil cat, Ginger.
• I chased the neighbor’s dogs away and protected everyone from their yappy yap yap yappiness.

Adventures in Babysitting

It was my job to watch Shaela last night. She's the little dog next door. She just wanted to play play play play. When she didn't get her way she jumped in my face and I got mad at her. Daddy and Mummy were not very happy with me. They even locked me in the bathroom for a little while for misbehavin.

Mummy sleeps all the time.
She doesn't run with me and play with me like before.
She gets really hungry really quickly and eats two bites and gives the rest to me.
She has to go potty a lot.
I don't know what is going on with Mummy.

Don't judge me...

Yesterday, Daddy was off and went to get a sausage biscuit from Chik-Fil-A for breakfast. It smelled sinful... ooohhh....weeee.. He left the whole thing opened just for me on the tray. I must have been very good for him to leave such a big treat for me... when Daddy came back inside... he was very angry when he saw all that was left of the sausage biscuit was the wrapper... It wasn't a treat, I wasn't good... oh... no... ran into my house and have stayed there since....
Moral of the story: eat as fast as you can, you never know when they'll come back... it's always worth every scumptious gulp. Don't judge me... I'm just a sweet little shih-tzu mix.....

Ramblings

Hi Everyone, sorry we have been out of touch for awhile.
You know how it goes:
You log onto the computer to update the blog, then you have find the pictures, then realize you never uploaded them. You plug in the camera, but something is not working and you have to retrace the thousands of cords to make sure everything is hooked up, then there’s a new message notification, you check email, reply to some, file other ones, delete all the zillion spam, remember that I had to mail that birthday card out, oh! Where’s the stamps, there they are! Where’s the address book? Oh maybe its in one of the 4 yahoo accounts I keep, no, it’s on that piece of paper, in that drawer in the kitchen… mercy! Look at this drawer! I need to reorganize it, I probably should clean up the kitchen too! Oh! It’s almost dinner time.. what to make? what to make? Hmm… While I think about it let me watch an episode of Saving Grace on my DVR. Fall asleep, it’s midnight. Wake up then remember that I had to update my blog, then brush my teeth and start all over again. The life of being a discombobulated freak!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I'm Sahsha!! Mummy said to invite you over for a little while and show you around.




First, let me say.. Mummy is a little crazy about window clings... Window clings are adorned on every window, door with glass, and mirrors in the house.
She was so giddy when she found this nativity scene this year...







Mummy is crazy about purple and she loves these purple gumball flowers. Daddy placed the deer so it looks like it's munching on her flowers. hehehehehheh

A couple of Mummy's favorite ornaments:

This was actually a card we got a couple years ago from Mimi.


This is a musical ornament that plays "Canon in D".. Mummy's most favorite song in the whole world.


This is actually a pin that Mummy never wore. She got it at a Home Interiors function or something and thought it would look good on the tree. It did!


This is the mother/daughter ornament from Hallmark from Mimi to Mummy. Mummy cherishes it and always puts it on the tree first.




This is a heart locket and opens up to a wedding picture and a scripture that says, "love is patient, love is kind... "


These are stained glass angels handmade by our Aunt Cindy. They are peppered throughout the house in almost every window. They protect us and stay all year round. Mummy really likes them and wanted me to show you.







I hope you enjoyed the tour of our home. Mummy says she can't wait to see yours!!!

Thanksgiving

Mummy and Daddy took me to Mimi’s house for Thanksgiving! It was lots of fun. I ran and ran and ran and played with this big ball. I had so much fun! Mummy even slipped me some treats from the table! Aunt Stacey and Uncle James said everyone got sickey at the last minute and couldn’t come. I really wanted to play with Jacob and the twins. That would have been great. Mummy, Daddy & Mimi played games and left a lot to out shopping. I really love grandpa’s chair when he’s not sitting in it. It’s so big and comfortable!

Mummy turned into the crazy cleaning lady again this weekend. She cleaned, she dusted and vacuumed and then she cleaned some more. Then I realized why. Coco's Mummy, Judy, came over. Mummy always cleans the house like crazy when there's people coming over. Then later Uncle Roy and Aunt Amanda came to visit. They watched slideshows of their pictures from Germany, Switzerland, Paris and somewhere else! Mummy got scared of a picture with an orb. Then Mummy brought out Daddy's baby book. Everyone laughed and laughed that Daddy's first word was "bye-bye" and that he liked to play with his toes. They laughed and laughed about something else but I can't really remember. My little memory doesn't hold all that. It was a lovely weekend. It's great to be a dog...

Weekend at Mimi's

This weekend, Mummy & Daddy took me to Mimi’s! Yep! We went to Mississippi for a little weekend visit. The car ride was fun. Mummy would watch movies on her DVD player and then when she wanted a break, she let me climb up on her lap. I like that. Then whenever I got to go potty there was just so many smells. So many… I couldn’t concentrate. Once I got to Mimi’s house, I met a cat that was not very interested in playing with. I tried and tried to tell her that I was sweet and fun, but she wouldn’t buy it. Oh well. I ran and ran and ran and ran and ran… WOW! Then on Saturday, Mummy laid a picnic blanket outside to read and let me roam around. I found a secret spot in the woods and found an amazing patch that I had to stick my face and nose in.. Then I rolled and rolled around in it. Then I heard Mummy calling me. I found my way back to her and she was not happy with me. Next thing I know she’s sticking me in a bucket and washing me down with COLD COLD COLD water! IT WAS SO COLD!!! Then she had me sit out on the backporch for awhile and then let me back in. I think she forgave me. Then Daddy woke up from his LONG nap and I was happy again. Mimi and Daddy had to tell Mummy that I’m just a dog and sometimes I roll around in poop. I’m so glad for Mimi and Daddy.
