Christmas Tour of Homes 2011

Hey there!! Long time no chat.. yes, our house has been busy busy busy.
Drew keeps us on a tight leash and by the time he goes to bed, we are all pooped!

If you're here for the first time, let me introduce myself:

I'm Sahsha.
This is my space in cyberland.
Welcome! Come on in and have a cup of tea. Mummy's favorite is green tea with mint.
We are joining The Nester again this year to give you a tour of our home.

We are only showing bits and pieces this year, since most of the house looks like a hurricane came through a ToysRus store. [True Story]

Here's our Christmas tree. As you can tell, Mummy loves her some purple and gold.

Thats a new angel for us this year inherited from Mimi's abode.

Ran in the neighbor's house

Ran into the neighbor's house on Sunday night.
It took Mummy and Daddy awhile to find me.
I was having a blast.
The neighbor lady feeds me treats and gave me a valentine.
I'll run into their house again.

Mummy cleaned out her closet last night

Mummy is participating a 30 for 30 challenge and most of her clothes are now in the guest room and laundry room. Daddy is scared she's going to re-do his closet and hide all his clothes too! Mummy is just going to use 30 pieces of clothing for 30 days as a way to start utilizing her clothes more. I only have 3 pieces of clothing. I hate clothes. But Mummy dresses me up when she gets bored.. sigh.

For those of you visiting for the first time, I'm Sahsha. I'm a sweet lovable and sometimes ornery Shi-Tzu mix. I belong to Mummy and Daddy. I also entertain the new addition to the house, Drew. He's funny.. and he lets me have the leftovers of his squash and apples. He drops them on the floor for me all the time..

Okay, here we go:

Mummy had a little trouble with the wreath this year... after many attempts.. she decided to NOT do the wreath. It was too stressful.

Some of Mummy's favorite ornaments this year are: The cloisonne ornament Mimi got for us from China. The cute pear ornament Trudie gave us from the Caymans, the stained glass star handmade by Aunt Cindy long ago and this handmade angel made from dough given to Mummy by Elaine. The red hat and pink hat ornament from Trudie is another favorite.

Mummy decided to display the cards along the bar this year.

The nativity scene.

Another nativity scene (window clings).. a little battery operated candle illuminates it at night.. Mummy needs to replace the batteries but she hasn't gotten around to that yet.

And the reason why Christmas is extra special this year: Drew.

Spa day for me!

Hello everyone!!! It's Sahsha! I finally got my unruly hair cut! The girl at Petco did such a good job giving me my puppy cut! She even did my nails and brushed my teeth!!
Are there any pictures to show you?? NOOooo... Mummy is constantly taking pictures of Drew and forgets all about me.. Oh wait here's... nope that's my ear on the side of the picture.. sigh..
Mummy hasn't been able to get her hair cut lately.. she's thinking about cutting it herself!! OH Noooo!!! The last time she tried that was in high school and it was in a word.... AWFUL.. there are pictures to prove it!!!
I would find them and post them, but Mummy has them hidden.. in a safe deposit box.. in KENTUCKY!!!

Of all the toys!

The baby has tons of colorful toys that are safe and age appropriate. However, this baby likes to play with the remote, an old keyboard, and a coca cola box. Now, the baby has taken over one of MY toys. My beloved green ball. WHY OH WHY! It's my squeaky ball. The baby is so fast with his crawling that he gets to it before I do. I look to Mummy and Daddy for help but they took the green ball, put it in the dishwasher and now it's the baby's toy. The baby's got a new name this weekend: Soggy Bottom Boy. My name for him: the ball snatcher.

Peanut Butter Toes

Hi Everyone! It's Sahsha reporting from the depts of neglect. That baby thing is always so happy to see me. It's developed a curious new motion. It can move with its hands and knees. It tries to catch me but I'm too fast. Mummy put peanut butter on its toes the other day and tried to get me to like it. I was strong for a long time, I didn't let the temptation of the PB get me... but then... the smell.. ahh.. it was overpowering.. I got every last drop of PB and cleaned those feet good. The baby thing doesn't smell so bad. It's kinda cute when it laughs.

My life since the baby

Hey Everyone.. Sahsha here giving you the update from the Pendergrast Manor. Mummy brought home a baby.
....no more sleeping, no more walks, and no more playtime for me. I escape during the day to the guest bedroom and bark at the outside noise.
The baby, they call it Drew. They get amazed at anything he does. Anything he can do, I can do better. Mummy sometimes lets me out in the backyard and forgets about me for hours. I don't mind except when it gets really cold.
I got a spa day treatment for my birthday this month. At least they remembered my birthday. I hope this fascination with the baby doesn't last long. I wonder when everything will get back to normal.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey Everyone! This is Sahsha, and I just wanted to tell everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR from the Pendergrast Manor!

I would post pictures, but Mummy went into a cleaning frenzy and burned ALL the years pictures onto a CD and deleted them off the computer.

The fireworks freaked me out for a couple days and I'm glad they are over now.

Mummy was obsessed with "Glee" for a couple weeks and watched last season on the computer and played a couple songs over and over again and danced around the kitchen while me and Daddy just looked at each other. She's already told us 7 times that she wants the first season on DVD for her birthday.. 7 times... I hope Daddy remembers. He didn't write it down on his post-it note that will eventually get lost..

See? What did I tell you? Mummy's little bowl of cards didn't last long at ALL!
